Who we are

JobAgent helps job seekers convert their CV to an international format and, with explicit consent, prepare and send job applications from their own email account. Contact us at privacy@jobagent.ng.

What we collect

• Your CV file and the structured details we read from it: name, contact details, work history, education, skills.
• Your Google account email and basic profile, used to sign you in.
• A Google authorisation token permitting us to send mail as you, stored only if you connect Gmail.
• Job preferences and application records you create in the product.

How we use Google user data

We request the gmail.send scope for a single purpose: sending job applications that you have individually reviewed and approved, from your own account, so replies reach your inbox directly.

We do not request permission to read your mailbox. We never read, index, or store the contents of your inbox. We send only messages you have explicitly approved.

JobAgent’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as required to provide this service, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it to anyone.

Automated processing

We send the text of your CV to Anthropic to structure it and to rewrite it for international applications. Your CV is not used to train any model. We never add a claim about you that is not present in the details you reviewed and confirmed.

Storage and security

• CV files are stored in a private bucket, readable only by you.
• Your Google authorisation token is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
• Data is encrypted in transit.

Retention and your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings, and disconnect Gmail in one click. When you close your account we delete your CV files within 30 days.

Under Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 — and the GDPR if you are in the EU — you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@jobagent.ng and we will respond within 30 days.

Revoking access

Disconnect Gmail from Settings, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
